Letter, 1774 Aug. 25, Charles Town, S.C. to Messrs. Curson and Seton, New York

Letter of introduction on behalf of Daniel Hall, written to Jamieson's business partners during Hall's visit to New York during his "tour through some of the Northern Colonies." Jamieson also reports on the progress of S.C.'s agricultural staples, "our prospects of crops in Rice and Indigo are exceedingly good," and predicts that prices would remain good during remainder of the season, but adds a note of caution due to the uncertain political situation, "there's no forming any Judgement as yet how the prices for the new crop may rule on account of the unsettled situation of affairs."
